Burberry on USFans Spreadsheet
Hoodies lead the Burberry grid on the USFans Spreadsheet, with tees, jackets, shorts, caps, the scarf and a run of belts behind them. Almost every piece here is decided by one question: does the house check line up.
The check reads best against plain pieces — see t-shirts and pants on the USFans Spreadsheet.
The Burberry grid and the plaid problem
In the grid: the detachable check puffer and a vintage check puffer, the Decoded jacket, a black cotton jacket, a shiny jacket, the Curry hoodie and a zip hoodie, the Brit tee, shirts and a polo, Transcend shorts, a beanie, a cap, slides, the scarf, belts and a Supreme x Burberry crossover. The check appears as the whole garment on the outerwear and as a trim or panel on most of the jersey pieces, which changes what you are checking.
Burberry is cut classically rather than oversized, so a Medium here sits closer than a Medium in most of this catalogue. The shorts run longer than a streetwear cut of the same nominal size. If you want a loose fit, size up deliberately.
Plaids are unforgiving, and that is the whole inspection. On a well-made piece the pattern matches across every seam: the vertical lines run uninterrupted from the body into the sleeve, pockets are cut so their check aligns with the panel beneath, and the two front halves mirror at the zip. Matching a plaid across a seam wastes fabric, so it is the first corner a weak run cuts — and it is fully visible before you approve anything. Where the check is a trim rather than the garment, check proportion instead: the red line should be the right weight against the camel ground. The scarf is judged on the hand of the fabric and the evenness of the fringe, so ask for a close photo of the fringe ends. All USD.
