Ralph Lauren on USFans Spreadsheet
Knitwear is nearly half this USFans Spreadsheet hub — hoodies, crewnecks and sweaters — with polo shirts, shorts, vests, jackets, night pants and caps making up the rest. The Polo Bear pieces are the ones people come for.
The bottoms are in pants and shorts, the caps in headwear, all on the USFans Spreadsheet.
Polo Bear, piqué and classic sizing
The grid divides cleanly. On one side the Polo Bear line: hoodies, crewnecks, tees and the bear-knit sweater. On the other the polo shirt itself, which turns up as a nineteen-colour listing, a coloured-label version and the City Series. Around them sit zip hoodies, a shiny jacket, black and navy vests, the night pants in navy and baby blue, a denim cap and a beanie. There is also a Balenciaga x Ralph Lauren hoodie and a Margiela longsleeve zip hoodie built on a Ralph Lauren base.
Fit is where this brand diverges from everything else in the catalogue, and it is worth saying plainly: Ralph Lauren is cut classically, not oversized. The polos sit closer to the body than a streetwear tee at the same letter, the sweaters are trimmer through the chest, and the shorts run longer in the leg. If you want a relaxed shape here you have to size up on purpose — assuming it will already be loose is how people end up with something that fits like a shirt.
Embroidery is the whole inspection, and this is one of the easier brands to judge from a photograph. On the bear, look at the face: it is a lot of colour changes in a very small area, and a weak run muddies the eyes and mouth first, then loses the stripes on the jumper. On the polos, the pony should be a compact, raised, slightly three-dimensional stitch — flat or fuzzy means the thread count has dropped. If the seller will show the reverse of the embroidery, loose backing is what unravels after a wash. USD prices, direct links. The wider catalogue is on the USFans Spreadsheet.
